Our Lady Queen of Peace Parochial School is a Christian school committed to educating children from preschool through eighth grade with a strong academic program and a strong religious foundation. The school is affiliated with the Catholic tradition in the Archdiocese of New York.
Preschool consists of an early childhood program, Universal Pre-K, and kindergarten.
Our Lady Queen of Peace Preschool Curriculum
Students begin with an early childhood curriculum that emphasizes health and faith. Young children learn healthy eating habits as they educate themselves on the importance of physical activity. Students learn the alphabet, watch kid movies, and play safe athletic activities.
Universal Pre-K is a free pre-kindergarten program offered through Our Lady Queen of Peace Parochial School. Students have fun with hands-on activities as they learn how to cope with being away from home and building a firm foundation in academics.
There are two kindergarten classes at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parochial School.
Kindergarten students learn to read with phonics, develop a strong foundation in mathematics, attend Mass, learn about religious holidays, and prepare themselves for entry into first grade. Students also develop strong relationships with their teachers and other students. When the school year is over, children are ready for first grade and bigger challenges.
